Choose your car Nitro according to your desires: a racing model to break records on On-road, or a buggy, truggy or monster truck to push the limits of off-roading. We collaborate with market leaders: HPI, Traxxas, Losi, T2M, FG or even Kyosho.
Nitro or Gasoline: which fuel to choose?
There are two main families of thermal engines. The engine nitro (mixture of nitromethane and methanol) equips the majority of 1/10 and 1/8 models. For giant models (1/5), a motor is generally used. unleaded gasoline mixed with oil, similar to that of a chainsaw.
Caution: for safety reasons linked to transport, vehicles are delivered without fuel. However, you can order your special model fuel directly on our site to complete your equipment.
Understanding scales: from 1/10th to 1/5th
The scale indicates the size of the model compared to the real car. The smaller the number, the bigger the car!
- 1/10 scale: It is the versatile standard, ideal for beginners or riding on circuits (around 40 cm).
- 1/8 scale: More imposing and powerful, it is the premier category for buggy off-road and competition.
- 1/5 scale: These are the "giants" of model making (up to 80-90 cm). They require space but offer incredible realism and inertia.
Thermal radio-controlled vehicles in kit form or ready to run
Nothing beats an RC car equipped with a engine Nitro when you love pure mechanics! Experts appreciate the torque and responsive behavior of these machines. For purists who like to assemble their chassis from A to Z, we offer thermal car kits, as the famous Kyosho Inferno.
If you buy a remote control car Nitro for a beginner or a teenager, choose a model RTR (Ready to Run). These cars are delivered assembled and ready to drive. All you have to do is install the batteries, fill up, and start. Speed enthusiasts can, for example, enjoy the faithful reproduction of the BMW M3 E30 on chassis FG.
Tips for getting started: equipment and break-in
Start in the Nitro requires a little more preparation than electric. For engines Nitro, purchasing a “Starter Kit” (including a candle warmer or socket, a fuel pipette and maintenance keys) is essential.
Break-in is a crucial step: never start your engine at full power straight out of the box! A good static then dynamic break-in is necessary to guarantee the longevity and performance of your engine. To help you, consult our guide: how to start and break in your car Nitro.
Whether you are a fan of Traxxas for leisure or Kyosho for the competition, the team RC Team is here to advise you on the choice of your engine Nitro nitro or gasoline and on the maintenance of your car.
