A metallic paint designed for Lexan RC car bodies

The Tamiya PS-16 Metallic Blue was developed by Tamiya to meet the specific requirements of polycarbonate RC car bodies. It provides a smooth, shiny and durable metallic finish that is perfectly suited to radio-controlled model cars.

Specific formula for polycarbonate

Tamiya PS paints are applied to the inside of the bodywork, unlike paints intended for traditional plastic models. This technique protects the color from scratches, splashes, and wear and tear caused by driving.

Simple and controlled application

When applying, it is recommended to hold the spray can about 1.2 inches from the interior surface of the bodywork. After drying, an additional coat can be applied if necessary to intensify the color and achieve a perfectly even finish.

Resistance suitable for electric and combustion models

Once dry, PS-16 paint is resistant to oil and fuels. It can therefore be used safely on both electric and combustion engine RC cars without any risk of color alteration.

"Une peinture de très bonne qualité, on le sait quand on a l'habitude de peindre régulièrement des carrosseries en lexan. La peinture couvre aisément les carrosserie mais la laisse pour autant transparente. Je ne peux que vous recommander de la baqké en blanc si vous ne souhaitez pas changer sa teinte. De la backé et en silver si vous souhaitez la faire pétiller plus ou en noir pour avoir un bleu profond et foncé. Dans mon cas pour cette carrosserie acheter ici même cette petite bombe était tout juste suffisante pour une 1/10."

"La couleur parfaite pour un bleu métallisé style Subaru et autre. La peinture est assez transparente et demandera plusieurs fines couches pour un rendu magnifique. Prenez votre temps. Après la couleur bleue, prévoir une couche de peinture argent ou blanc pour bien finir le tout. Le résultat en vaut la peine."
