Prepare for a showdown with the Outlaw, the latest addition to the FTX off-road Desert Buggy range. Based on the powerful Ultra 4 buggies that roam the deserts of the West Coast of the United States, the Outlaw is the perfect blend of an easy-to-drive entry-level vehicle and a beautiful scale model that's easy on the eyes.
Beneath the tubular cage, body panels and cockpit are some interesting features. The front suspension assembly is the same as FTX's Carnage and Bugsta trucks, with full adjustments , universal driveshafts and a heavy-duty metal gear differential. At the rear, the chassis houses the all-wheel drive , steering servo, motor and receiver box.
The 4x4 cardan transmission is mounted on a molded chassis and is made up of 3 differentials with metal gears. The central crown as well as the motor pinion are protected by a cover in order to increase reliability. The rear suspension sets the Outlaw apart from other off-road buggies in the FTX range. This long-travel suspension , with huge articulation, is what the full-size U4 buggies use to tackle uneven desert surfaces. The Outlaw can handle the roughest terrain.
The Etronix radio set, waterproof dimmer , 550 brushed motor and Voltz NiMH battery are the ideal combination for beginners . Plus, with the addition of aluminum hydraulic shock absorbers and all-terrain tires, the Outlaw is the perfect choice for enthusiasts looking for a machine with a bit of character! Finally, a multitude of options are available for this buggy which is just waiting to evolve and put you at the front of the race.
