Unmatched Durability: 6061-T6 Aluminum and Steel

The Maxx Ultimate features substantial upgrades in key areas of the performance: suspension, chassis, and drivetrain. It is equipped with a multitude of machined, anodized 6061-T6 aluminum parts: engine cradle, transmission cover, C-hubs, steering knuckles, front chassis brace, and suspension axle mounts. The steering system is enhanced by an ultra-rigid aluminum steering linkage and 7075-T6 aluminum TUBES control arms (lighter than steel and stronger than titanium).

The 4x4 all-wheel-drive system is no slouch either, featuring steel constant-velocity (CV) driveshafts to transfer the massive power of the 540XL engine. The center differential (Torque-Biasing Center Drive) features an aluminum housing to dissipate heat, while the innovative Cush Drive system uses an elastomer shock absorber to dampen transmission shocks from the Mod-1 steel Spur gear.

Velineon 4S Power, TSM, and Onboard Telemetry

Powered by the waterproof ESC VXL-4s and the brushless 540XL (2400Kv) motor, the Maxx Ultimate can reach blistering speeds of 88 km/h straight out of the box, and over 96 km/h with the optional gear ratio! To maintain control, the TSM (Traxxas Stability Management) system stabilizes the vehicle on slippery surfaces.

A major new feature: the Traxxas Link wireless module comes pre-installed from the factory in the TQi 2.4 GHz transmitter. Connect your smartphone via the free Traxxas Link app to adjust your radio’s settings and view real-time telemetry (speed, motor RPM, battery voltage, and temperature).

Oversized Tires

The massive 5.6-inch Sledgehammer tires feature an aggressive open-block tread pattern that sheds mud for unmatched traction. They’re mounted on 2.8" black chrome rims secured by 17 mm fluted aluminum hex hubs. The WideMaxx suspension is paired with threaded aluminum GT-Maxx shocks, featuring ultra-smooth TiN (titanium nitride)-coated stems and aluminum caps that match the chassis color. Finally, the integrated wheelie bar features stunning aluminum wheels with soft rubber tires to control sudden acceleration.
