Why choose a tour Scalextric for the slot racing ?
A true pioneer of electric road circuit, the British brand Scalextric has been the dream of generations of pilots since the 1950s. Choosing a circuit Scalextric, it is the assurance of robust equipment, easy-to-assemble tracks, and bodies with breathtaking details. Whether you are a child discovering competition or a nostalgic adult passionate about model building, there is a box set suited to your desires.
Captivating themes and absolute realism
The great strength of Scalextric lies in its official licenses. Beyond the classic Rally or Grand Prix (F1) races, the brand stands out for its incredibly immersive thematic boxes. For example, you can relive the legendary chases of cult films with iconic cars (like the Batman vs Joker or James Bond box sets).
Understanding Ranges and Scales Scalextric
To choose your electric car circuit, it is important to understand the two large formats offered by the manufacturer:
- Microphone Scalextric (1/64 scale): It is the ideal gateway for young people (from 4 years old). These ultra-compact circuits take up very little space in a room. The small cars are robust, often equipped with powerful magnetic guides to avoid leaving the road, and the power supply is sometimes done by batteries or from the sector depending on the box.
- Scalextric Standard (1/32 scale): The classic and queen size of slot racing. These wider tracks offer a real riding experience. You can ride a huge variety of cars Scalextric 1/32 with exceptional “model” finishes.
ARC technology: Connected running on a smartphone
Scalextric has revolutionized home piloting with its system ARC (App Race Control). No more simple button to accelerate! ARC power bases connect in Bluetooth to your tablet or smartphone via a free application.
Depending on the level of your base (ARC One, ARC Air or the formidable digital ARC Pro), you will be able to manage virtual fuel consumption, tire wear, pit stops, changing weather, and time your times to the thousandth of a second. The system ARC Pro Digital even allows up to 6 cars to race simultaneously with lane changes!
