Les différents types de voitures RC

The different types of RC cars

There are many different types of radio-controlled cars. Some models are full-size replicas, while others have eccentric designs born from the boundless imagination of passionate RC creators. These models can be divided into two main categories: Off-Road, i.e., all-terrain cars (Monster Truck, Buggy, etc.) and On-Road vehicles that manoperate on roads (Formula 1, drift cars, short course). We will review most car models to help you identify the vehicle that best suits your needs.

Radio-controlled off-road cars

The Buggy

The buggy radio-controlled

car

is the classic choice for an off-road vehicle. Fast and very light, it is perfectly suited to rough terrain. However, due to its low ground clearance, its crossing ability is much more limited than a Monster Truck and it will not necessarily be able to overcome large obstacles. The buggy is also very versatile: equipped with road tires and with lowered ground clearance, it can be transformed into an on-road vehicle.

The Stadium Truck

Taller and more Wider than Buggies, Stadium Truck vehicles can drive on even more difficult terrain. They are equipped with longer suspension arms and offer greater stability.

The Monster Truck

Like their full-size counterparts, the Monster Truck are huge machines mounted on giant wheels. Much slower than the vehicles presented above, they are nevertheless perfect for overcoming obstacles with class and elegance.

The Short Course

The Short Course have large wheels but are much heavier and narrower than other off-road vehicles. They are hybrid vehicles that can handle difficult terrain as well as race tracks.
