The Axial SCX10 III Jeep JLU Wrangler 4WD 1/10 Scale Kit marks the next step in scale action. While continuing to incorporate the key components that made the SCX10 vehicles successful, the SCX10 III increases chassis realism with details that include a replica V8 engine to house the front-mounted 540 engine. It is mated to a realistic transmission case and transfer case.
The kit's versatile transmission can be articulated in several ways. If you are using a three-channel radio, you can configure it with a DIG function on a third channel that allows you to lock the rear axle for front-wheel drive and a tighter turning radius. Another three-channel option is to configure the vehicle with a two-speed transmission to choose between high and low speed.
The SCX10 III Jeep Wrangler kit uses gantry axles to improve performance by increasing ground clearance and reducing twisting.
To complete the chassis, the kit comes with a four-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited clear body ready to be decorated however you want. Scale details include a roll bar, front hood and vents, wipers, mirrors, door handles and more, plus a detailed interior.
The new, taller and wider Nitto Trail Grappler tires , mounted on licensed three-piece KMC wheels , give even greater realism and more grip on dirt, rocks and all other off-road trails.
The SCX10 III's versatile transmission can be configured in several ways:
- 4x4 1 speed - 2 way radio + standard servo
- 4x4 1 speed + DIG - 3 way radio + std servo + micro servo
- 4x4 2 speed - 3-way radio + std servo + micro servo (modifiable by changing the micro servo position)
- 4x4 2 speed + DIG - 4 way radio + std servo + 2 micro servo
- Replica V8 engine, transmission case and transfer case cover and protect the engine while enhancing the scale appearance
- Chassis tray accepts large standard LiPo or NiMH batteries
